ATLAS X-ray SensorVariable Emission Control(VEC) Model A2J

One of the greatest advantages of the ATLAS A2J X-ray gauge is the Variable Emission Control feature which allows the gauge to by “tuned” specifically for your application.  In other words, with one simple adjustment, the same sensor can be used for multiple products, densities and applications.

Another advantage that our system has is the speed at which the sensor signal is converted and mapped for display.  Our component selection and system design affords a one millisecond sensor response to product changes.  This means that 63% of any product change is measured within .001 second time period.  As well, our gauge processor provides an average of over 2000 measurements per second, or a measurement every .0005 seconds.  The advantage of increasing the number of measurements is that less filtering of the signal is required.  This affords the user with the most accurate measurement and control of the process.

Ø  X-ray technology is “Green” with less environmental impact.

Ø  Our sensor is tunable for exact product ranges for greater resolution.

Ø  Our sensor is designed to be long-life and low maintenance.

Ø  X-ray energy is constant; therefore, it is superior to beta gauges.

Ø  Our gauge design, coupled with our processor speed, provide reduced response time and maximum processing per integration period.

Ø  Air temperature compensation for improved accuracy.

Ø  Our sensor standardizes at the end of every scan for improved accuracy.

Ø  Due to X-ray properties, X and Y alignment errors are minimized.

Ø  Z correction is added for a more precise measurement.

Ø  Our system has dual-direction profile correction.

Ø  Pass angle and sheet flutter issues are minimized.

Ø  Off-the-shelf modular design affords ease of maintenance and reduced costs.

Ø  X-ray gauges afford safer operation than beta gauges, and in most states, are regulated by the Dept. of Health as opposed to the NRC.
