®Automated Interface Solutions (AIS) is a division of Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Inc.  We are located in west-central Indiana.  AIS was created in 2003 for the purpose of building quality measurement and control systems.  Our systems are used for various processes and industries including: plastics, metals, paper, fiberglass, rubber, textiles, and carpets.  

     We used our experience working with many other manufacturer's gauging systems to develop what we believe is a superior system to the competition.  For years, we maintained systems that had many negative attributes.  As systems became outdated, the companies needed to update their measurement devices in order to maintain productivity and efficiency.  Such upgrades were time consuming and quite expensive and always seemed to have a lot of unneeded options.  So we challenged ourselves with the goal of designing a system that is relatively inexpensive, easy to use and maintain, and with an "Open Platform Architecture." 

     Spending countless hours of programming and engineering, we accomplished our goal of developing a system that is easy to use and maintain.  Utilizing the power and speed of Opto22's SNAP-I/O and SNAP-PAC hardware, along with OPC Server, we were able to bring to the table a seamless measurement device.

     For the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), we chose the highly versatile and widely used Invensys Wonderware® Intouch software.  Communicating with the Opto22, Wonderware is able to receive and display all of the data needed by the operator to determine if the product they are running is in spec.  With our programming, we were successful in being able to offer real-time analysis and total system control.
